Enhanced Stock Management and Order Control

This update builds on the previous Stock Management release offering enhanced configuration, stronger stock controls, and improved order management capabilities.
Designed to give teams more flexibility and visibility, this release introduces stockable item settings, improved add stock options, quantity and serial number locking, and new stock and asset views. It also adds new order actions to help teams copy and renew orders more efficiently.
Together, these improvements help teams manage inventory, assets, and order workflows with greater control, traceability, and consistency.
Key features
Stockable Item Settings
Users can now define whether an item is stockable directly within the item settings. For items marked as stockable, advanced stock settings can be configured, giving teams a more structured way to manage inventory at item level.
A new Stock Settings screen is also available under the Item > Stock tab, providing a central place to manage stock-related configuration.
Enhanced Add Stock
The Add Stock functionality has been improved to support both new and existing stock batches.
Users can now add stock to an existing batch or create a completely new batch for the relevant item. This makes batch-based inventory management more flexible and reduces the effort required to maintain accurate stock records.
Quantity and Serial Number Locking
Users can now manage stock availability more precisely through quantity and serial number locking.
Within Quote and Order workflows, users can view available stock and lock or unlock stock quantities. In the Order app, users can also lock specific serial numbers, view locked serial numbers, and unlock them when required.
These controls help teams reserve stock more effectively and improve traceability across stock usage.
Stock and Asset Visibility
New Stock View and Asset View screens have been introduced to improve visibility across stock and asset records.
The Stock View allows users to review stock information in more detail, while the Asset View gives teams clearer visibility into asset allocation and tracking. This helps users monitor stock status more effectively and manage assets with greater confidence.
Copy and Renew Order
Order management has been enhanced with new Copy Order and Renew Order options.
Copy Order allows users to duplicate an existing order and update company details where needed, helping reduce repetitive manual work. Renew Order allows users to renew an order for the same company, making repeat business workflows faster and easier to manage.
Permissions and Access Control
The new stock and order actions are controlled through permissions and access control.
This ensures that features such as quantity locking, serial number locking, stock visibility, Copy Order, and Renew Order are only available to users with the correct roles and access rights. This supports secure and controlled stock and order handling across the application.
