Stock Management and Location Control

The Stock Management update gives teams a more structured way to manage inventory activity, stock locations, and location data across the application.

Designed to support controlled stock operations, the Stock module brings key inventory actions into one workflow, including adding stock, moving stock, locking and unlocking stock, and scrapping stock.

By combining stock actions, stock location management, and standardised location types, the update helps teams improve inventory organisation, strengthen traceability, and manage stock with greater consistency across different areas of the application.

Key features

Stock Management

• The Stock module supports core inventory management operations, giving users a clearer way to add, move, lock, unlock, and scrap stock. These actions help teams manage stock more effectively while keeping inventory activity structured and traceable.

Package-Based Access

• The Stock feature is package driven, meaning only subscriptions with the Stock package enabled can access the Stock menu under the Item module. This supports controlled access to stock functionality and ensures the feature is available to the right users and subscriptions.

Stock Menu and Item View

• Stock Management is available through the Item module, where users can access stock-related options directly from the item view. This gives teams a central place to review and manage stock activity for a specific item.

Stock List and Batch Visibility

• The Stock List provides a structured view of available stock, including batch-level information. Users can click into stock records to view the serial numbers associated with a respective batch, supporting greater visibility and traceability across inventory records.

Add Stock with Batch and Serial Details

• Users can add new stock with batch code and serial number details, helping inventory records stay organised at a more detailed level. This supports more accurate tracking of stock quantities, batches, and individual stock items.

Lock, Unlock, Move and Scrap Stock

• Users can manage stock availability and movement through key stock actions, including locking, unlocking, moving, and scrapping stock. These options give teams greater control over how stock is handled throughout its lifecycle.

Stock Location Management

• Stock Location Management allows users to add and manage stock locations associated with their inventory. This helps teams organise stock by location, improve traceability, and maintain better location-based control.

Location Type Master

• Location Type Master standardises location classifications across the application. Users can add and edit location types centrally, with configured location types available for selection in Lead, Company, and Contact location records.

Consistent Location Data

• By centralising location type configuration, the update helps improve consistency in location data across multiple business entities. This makes location information easier to manage, more configurable, and more reliable across the application.
